Welcome to Gates To Reading.  

My name is Michelle Gates and I am a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor.  I received my certification through The Dyslexia Training Institute. 

I started Gates to reading to help children with dyslexia learn to read, write, and spell. I'm a mother of two beautiful girls and four pups. My daughter, Madison, was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven. She received private Orton-Gillingham tutoring for several years. She is now a sophomore in college; who has been successful due in part to the early intervention she received.  As a mom of a child with dyslexia I understand the importance of early intervention.
